    No. "Easy Number" is only available to customers who have used Hong Kong Identity Cards for registration and subscribed to the Company’s mobile monthly service plans. Applicants for this service must be the account holder of the company's monthly mobile service plan.

  • Q5How many Standard Plan(s) can I subscribe to?

    Each Hong Kong Identity Card holder can only subscribe to a maximum number of 3 Standard Plans for "Easy Number", while each SmarTone mobile phone number registering with the same HKID holder can subscribe to one Standard Plan only.

  • Q6Can I use the service immediately after application?

    You will be assigned a Mainland China mobile number upon successful application. The service must be activated for use, please download the “Add-on Numbers / Easy Number” app, and submit a valid Hong Kong Identity Card copy and recent photo of the mobile service plan account holder. The service will be activated in approximately 1-2 days after document submission.

  • Q7How many mainland China mobile numbers will be allocated for each Standard Plan of "Easy Number"?

    Each Standard Plan will be allocated one mainland China mobile number.

  • Q8If I terminate "Easy Number" before the next bill date, can I receive a pro rata refund?

    No. "Easy Number" is charged on a prepaid and monthly basis. A full monthly fee will still be charged even if the service is used for less than a month. The charges paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Q9How can I unsubscribe "Easy Number"?

  • Q10Are there any additional charges for using "Easy Number"?

    Yes. In addition to the monthly service fee, using mainland China mobile number in the service to receive phone calls will incur additional charges by usage. Local incoming calls will be charged to, or deducted from, the customer’s subscribed price plan, whichever is applicable.   • Q11Can I port my “Easy Number”'s mainland China mobile number to other mobile network operators?

    No. The mainland China mobile number cannot be ported to other mobile network operators.

  • Q12Can I choose my own mainland China mobile number in “Easy Number” ?

    No. When the registration is completed, you will be assigned a mainland China mobile number for receiving incoming calls and SMS.

  • Q13If I cancel and then re-subscribe to “Easy Number” , can I re-use my previous mainland China mobile phone number in “Easy Number”?

    No. When you re-subscribe to “Easy Number”, you will be assigned a new mainland China mobile phone number.

  • Q1If I transfer the ownership of the main line number to another SmarTone customer, can I also transfer the ownership of the mainland China mobile number?

    No. If you transfer the ownership of the main line number to another customer, "Easy Number" and its mainland China mobile number will be cancelled immediately. To continue using the service, you or the other individual must subscribe again.

  • Q2Can I use this mainland China mobile number for subscribing to other value-added services of SmarTone?

    No. You cannot subscribe to any SmarTone value-added services with this mainland China mobile number.

  • Q3If I terminate "Easy Number", will the mainland China mobile number be cancelled immediately?

    Yes. Once the service is terminated, you will not be able to retrieve the mainland China mobile number. To use the service again, you must subscribe again.

  • Q4My mainline number has already got call forwarding, call waiting, voicemail and secretarial services. Do I have to apply for new settings to use these services on my mainland China mobile number?

    No. If the mobile service plan of your main line number already has call forwarding, call waiting, voicemail and secretarial services, you can also use these services on your mainland China mobile number – all the settings will be applied together. Please see below for details:

    No. You can use your SmarTone’s main line number to send SMS and make local or overseas phone calls if necessary.

  • Q7How do I identify a call to my mainland China mobile number? How to pick up the phone calls?

    There is no difference from answering average incoming phone calls, but no caller ID is displayed. Before you can receive phone calls outside Hong Kong, you must first activate your roaming service of the main line number in your SmarTone monthly mobile plan.

  • Q8How can I identify that an SMS is sent to my mainland China mobile number? How to receive SMS?

    If an SMS is sent to your mainland China mobile number, the number will display with prefix "193".
    Before you can receive SMS outside Hong Kong, you must first activate your roaming service of the main line number in your SmarTone monthly mobile plan.

  • Q9Can I choose to cancel the function of receiving incoming calls or SMS in “Easy Number”?

    Sorry, “Easy Number” cannot provide this option.

  • Q10How will the roaming charge of this service be shown in the phone bill?

  • Q11How can I receive incoming calls and SMS outside Hong Kong?

    Before you can receive phone calls or SMS outside Hong Kong, you must first activate your roaming service in your SmarTone monthly mobile plan.

  • Q12I’ve used my “Easy Number” mainland China mobile number to register for a third-party service, but I can’t receive any calls or SMS from the third-party service provider. What can I do?

    Scenario 1: If you are trying to receive SMS or calls outside of Hong Kong, please ensure your roaming service has been activated for the main line number of your SmarTone mobile monthly plan. If the problem persists, please contact your third-party service provider directly to sort out the situation.
